How I got my folder names back.......I right clicked in the folder with the missing file names and selected refresh! Explorer seems to display details based on some entry in the Registry for folders of certain types of files. Conclusion As you can see, both Windows Explorer and File Explorer give you plenty of options to browse through and easily identify your files and folders. Check This Out
