So far that has alleviated ALL crashes for me for around 5 hours now. Few more hours of play and no crashes at all. My laptop (sony Vaio Z series i5, windows pro 64bit) seemed to randomly reboot when firefox was running, especially when there were many tabs open. A lot of the users agreed it worked but I figured "what if it's just a hardware issue and Bioshock is just getting confused?"Go to: Control Panel -> Sound -> "Playback" Hopefully this will pay off! I hardly ever know when it's going to happen, although, sometimes, I get into a spot in the game where the crash is consistent at around the same spot. Not sure what to do but I really want to play this game again. Bioshock Appcrash On Windows 7 also frequent hard locks, only a hard restart works.
Is the PSU new? Now hit F4 on the keyboard 2 times and this will start scanning the hard drive. (if you want to enable turning off bad blocks let me know for now just Verify your game files if you're using Steam Update your drivers and DirectX Turn off SLI, crossfire; multiple GPU rendering; anti-aliasing, filtering; V-sync; background software, firewall, antivirus; FFDShow; other monitors; Set weblink Sorry for that.

There is a list on the right which shows numbers: <3 <10 <50 <150ms Etc… Anything below the <150ms is a slow sector or a problem sector.

You should have in your All addons the Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control...Flash10e.ocx(version 10.0.45.2) installed and Enabled.
