USB Port & External Hard Drive Issue


My smart tv recognized my external hard drive, but my laptop didn't. They show in Control Panel/System they also show in Disk Management but when I try to change Drive Letter I get the following error - "The operation failed to complete because Expand USB selective suspend settings. IM using windows but same problem. I then tried this again on another computer which had the same problem and it worked again. Please someone help on this and save my data.
